Requirements and Documentation for the IBSA Dual Degree Master’s Program

All the information related to your application (background requirements & support documents)

In order to participate actively and effectively in the IBSA program, students must have a sound basis of knowledge in business and economics at the undergraduate level. They must therefore hold at least a second lower class degree relevant (or cognate) to business management (e.g., bachelor’s degrees in business, economics, accounting, finance or management). If they have another bachelor’s degree, it is necessary to give proof of participation in several business classes and/or provide proof of additional relevant skills or professional experience. The first semester institution (‘core modules university’) will determine if these courses are sufficient for admission. All students must be able to speak and write fluently in English. Applicants whose native language is not English must achieve an acceptable level IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.

It is important to note that each partner institution may have slightly different (or additional) basic requirements for admission than those listed above. There may also be additional requirements for the specialization university you attend in the second semester. It is necessary that you fit the requirements for both of your choices of universities (core modules university and specialization university). If you find that you do not possess the requirements for one or the other, you are advised to change your preference accordingly.

Requirements Core Modules

All six partner universities have the following basic requirements for all new prospective students: an undergraduate degree in business or economics (or an equivalent substitute that must be supplemented with proof of relevant skills, work experience, and/or relevant courses) and an IELTS score of 6.5 or better.
