Study in Two Countries, Get an MBA and Master's Degree and Choose Your Business Specialization
Entrepreneurship in France - Marketing in Spain - Logistics in Germany - HR in the UK - Finance in the US - Management in Russia
The IBSA program offers you two business degrees at six global locations…in one short year.
The IBSA Dual Master’s Degree Program is an innovative, fast-paced, international education for motivated and adventurous students. The program is geared towards students with an undergraduate degree in business, finance, or economics. All courses are taught in English.
This one-year, full-time, tuition-based dual master’s degree consists of three main elements. The first semester begins with a core set of identical class modules that are taught at all six universities in a host of global settings. For the second semester you choose a different partner university, based on your preferences of specialization.
You can choose between six business specializations:
- International Finance & Investments (University of North Carolina Wilmington, USA)
- Human Resource Management (University of Hertfordshire, UK)
- International Logistics & Supply Chain Management (Hochschule Bremen, City University of Applied Sciences, Germany)
- International Management of Emerging Economies (RANEPA, Institute of Business Studies Moscow, Russia)
- International Entrepreneurship (ESSCA School of Management Paris, France)
- International Marketing (University of Valencia, Spain).
Choosing one of these six specializations indicates your unique research path, in a distinct international location, within the IBSA Dual Degree Master’s Program (from which one of your two degrees will be earned). The third semester finishes your academic year in the IBSA program with the completion of the mandatory thesis. Once the academic year is completed, you will receive two international business degrees (either master’s degrees or MBA, depending on the school) from both universities you attended, chosen from our global alliance of nationally-accredited universities.
During this academic year, you can expect a profound learning environment – one built on cultural diversity, where students from a large mix of international backgrounds will meet; intimate classroom and study settings, based on small student groups; and stimulating lectures, guided by experts with professional expertise. The IBSA Dual Degree Master’s Program provides the knowledge and skills necessary for global leadership in the 21st century. Two countries + two institutions = dual master’s degrees in one year.
When you apply for this ground-breaking, one-year dual degree program, you first have to choose a university where you study the core modules. For example, if you want to study the core modules at the Hochschule Bremen, City University of Applied Sciences in Germany, then you have to apply to the International Graduate Center’s graduate degree program for the International MBA). All six partner universities have their own degree program:
- International MBA program at the International Graduate Center of Hochschule Bremen, City University of Applied Sciences in Germany
- International Master's Degree in Business Administration program at the University of Valencia in Spain
- International Master's Degree at the ESSCA School of Management Paris in France
- International Master in Management program at the RANEPA, Institute of Business Studies Moscow in Russia
- International MBA program at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in the US
- Global Business program at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK.
Together these six degree programs are forming the IBSA Dual Degree Master’s Program. That way you are linked to the IBSA system through the application at the first university of your choice. Real-world business issues are investigated through activities like visits to large corporations in order to offer the students necessary experience with networking, effective business processes and an understanding of the formal business environment to which they will soon be exposed in their own career endeavors. The IBSA program consists of advanced core learning in semester 1 with specialized learning in semester 2 and a major research project or thesis in semester 3.The thesis term is a challenge in effective writing and project management.
