A Modern City That Is Full of History

Valencia was first built during ancient Roman times, and is almost 2,000 years old. Incredibly, some of the remains of the original city still exist today, including the original town center at Plaza de la Almoina, which is less than half an hour from the University of Valencia campus.

Students can also explore other areas of the city, which is full of stunning Baroque, Gothic, and Roman architecture that offers a glimpse of how Valencia has changed through the ages. Some of the most notable sites include the Silk Exchange building, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica, which is said to be the home of the Holy Grail.

For students who want to find out what modern Valencia is all about, the City of Arts and Sciences is a great place to start. The area, which is just a fifteen minute drive from the University of Valencia, offers a number of unique attractions, including the city’s opera house and performing arts centre, as well as the Prince Felipe Science Museum, a planetarium, and a huge open-air aquarium.

Valencia is Perfect for International Marketing Students

Valencia is home to a number of thriving business sectors. The city’s port is the largest on Spain’s west coast, and handles 20% of the country’s exports. Valencia’s tourism, construction, and manufacturing industries are also growing, with new job opportunities being created all the time.

This diverse economy makes it the perfect place for students taking the IBSA Master’s Program’s international marketing specialization, who often go on to find work in a wide range of different sectors.

Students looking to improve their knowledge of different business areas should also check out some of the events at the Feria Valencia, which is Spain’s largest international trade fair venue and hosts numerous conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows throughout the year.

Enjoy Spanish Culture Whilst Studying in Valencia

Students at the University of Valencia have the pleasure of studying in one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations, enjoying warm weather all year round. You will find several beautiful beaches just outside the city if you want to take a break from your studies and enjoy the sun.

Valencia is also famous for its food. The city is the home of Paella, and locals still insist their version of the dish is the best in the world, while you will also find a number of great restaurants offering other Spanish specialties like tapas and horchata.

Best of all, Valencia is a very affordable city for students, with housing, clothes, and food all reasonably priced, making it easy for you to enjoy everything the city has to offer throughout the course of your studies.
